NEXT BOARD OF CAPTAINS MEETING Sometime in January Described by its members as a “Festival of Soccer,” ACSA engages over 2,000 adults of all ages, skills and experiences almost every Saturday regardless of race,gender, creed, sexual orientation and political affiliation. In other words - all are welcome and encouraged to participate. Celebrating 25 years: Legend says that coed teams started playing pick-up matches at Murchison Middle School in the mid-80’s, and by 1988 the earliest version of the coed league was formed. Matches in the first few years were held at Robert E. Lee park, Martin Middle School and Zilker park. In 2002, the league was granted non-profit status and the name was officially changed to Austin Coed Soccer Association. When Zilker closed to organized soccer, ACSA forged partnerships with Travis County Parks & Rec and the Austin Men’s Soccer Association to schedule matches at Onion Creek Soccer Complex and Northeast Metro Park.
